About Portrait Coffee
We are a specialty coffee shop in the Historic West End of Atlanta focused on changing the picture that comes to folks' mind when they think of specialty coffee.
Portrait Coffee is a coffee shop in Atlanta, Georgia. It is listed at 1065 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd SW # A, Atlanta, GA 30310, which places it among the local businesses of Atlanta that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 7 amβ4 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Its website is portrait.coffee, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 603 reviews, which is a strong result for a coffee shop in Atlanta and suggests consistent service.
Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Atlanta is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I stopped by Portrait Coffee with my cousin for what I hoped would be a nice outing, but it turned out to be one of the most frustrating coffee experiences I've had. The spot has a cool vibe with vinyl records on display, but the quality and service fell way short. I ordered a specialty iced latte that was shockingly bland -- no real flavor depth or creaminess, just weak and forgettable. My one cousin agreed wholeheartedly, saying Dunkin' was way better. On top of that we waited well over 15 minutes for our order. The other cousin fared a bit better with a strawberry matcha, which they actually enjoyed for its refreshing twist. We also grabbed two spicy potato empanadas and a cinnamon roll. The roll was the highlight, fluffy, warm, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. But the empanadas? DISASTER. As we were driving away, my cousin bit into one and realized it had chicken inside, despite us ordering the vegetarian version. Luckily, I checked mine and it was correct, I'm not allowed to eat chicken because of dietary restrictions. The kind of mix-up is unacceptable; they need to double check orders to avoid confusing vegetarian items with meat ones, especially for alle

It took me a minute to try this Coffee Spot because Iβm never in the area, but TODAY WAS THE DAYYYYYYYY ! and I was highly unsatisfied. Upon arrival I asked the greeter what she recommends, and she was completely DRY. Her mood definitely dampened my experience to where I just ordered a strawberry matcha and chicken empanada to get out of her face . Sadly the matcha wasnβt good (maybe be cause she made it) , but the empanada was on point . Would probably try again , but on someoneβs else dime.

Nice espresso place. Great vibe. I like the espresso flavor. The pulls are a touch too hot and our macchiato had too much milk but overall a solid option for ATL. Cinnamon roll was fantastic

We stopped here on our way through Atlanta. The coffee is so good. The atmosphere is chill and yet lively with conversation. We purchased a pound of beans and look forward to brewing them at home. We were hungry so decided to get a couple pastries and let me tell you β¦ they were incredible!! We ordered the cinnamon roll and the cardamom roll. They were buttery and flavorful and the icing on the cinnamon roll was perfectly sweet. Came back to say we are hooked. Iβve ordered coffee from Portrait since this visit and everyone who tastes it raves. Stacy is our favorite - so good!

This has been one of the best coffee shops Iβve visited in Atlanta so far. The coffee was top notch and worthy of taking home a bag of beans. They offered a small selection of pastries that can be heated upon request. The indoor seating is somewhat limited, but comfortable for doing work or holding a conversation. The outdoor seating was my favorite, and many types of people used it as a community space. Absolutely stop into Portrait and enjoy some great coffee and atmosphere.
